PM post

On Tuesday, 3rd November 2020, Prime Minister Imran Khan gave all the industrialists good news. Industrialists of Pakistan had been suffering from energy crises and high electricity rates for a long time. Considering the challenges faced by industries in 2020 due to Covid-19 and lockdown, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced,

“There will be no peak hour charging. It will be off-peak hours all the time. “

It means for the next three years, government will charge the industries only at the off-peak hour rate that will substantially decrease the bills. The government decided to put a cherry on top with another announcement about giving discounts to industries on additional units consumed as compared to their previous electricity bills. The businesses will receive discounts on the following basis:

  • 50% off for small and medium industries on the units consumed additionally on the former bill
  • 25% off for large industries on the electricity units utilized, over and above the preceding bill
The Vision And Our Compliance With It

Khan’s vision behind making such beneficial decisions is to lower the tariff for industries and helping them grow their operation that will increase the exports, ultimately benefitting the industrialists and the country’s economy. Premier Energy’s motto is to illuminate lives through renewable energy. In compliance with PM’s vision, we have always worked to help industries save money and improve their profits by investing in solar energy and achieving energy independence by lowering the tariff and dependency on grid electricity.

Why It Is The Prime Time To Go Solar?

When the tariff has already been set to off-peak rates, decreasing the electricity bills to almost half the price, and increasing discounts on additional units used, why do you need to switch to solar? This question might have crossed your mind urging you to redirect to this blog. The reasons for you to opt for renewable energy at this time are as follows:

Increasing Investment to Switch to Solar

Since the price of the tariff has been reduced and discounts are available at the utilization of additional units, it will provide savings in the form of investment to solarize your industry. It is a prime opportunity to get solar systems and make a long term plan for the next 25-30 years.

The Long Term Planning

A businessman does not make short term plans but goes for utilizing short term benefits to achieve benefits for many years. Getting a solar panel system will allow you to generate free electricity for 25-30 years, which is a long-term plan as compared to the government’s discounts for six months and lowered tariffs for the next three years.

The Tariff With Solar

With solar energy, you can get free electricity for up to 3 decades. With a payback period of 5-6 years on your investment in solar panel systems, the reduced tariff accounts for 3-4 rupees per unit. This significant drop is proof of the benefits one can have from solar energy.

Without any doubt, the Prime minister’s decision is a sigh of relief for industries, and Premier Energy is keen to help businesses turn these opportunities into long term beneficial investments.
